A St. Louis Spring Wedding at the Seven Gables Inn

A St. Louis Spring Wedding

The morning of this spring wedding in St. Louis began tucked inside the ivy-covered walls of Seven Gables Inn—a space that feels like it belongs to another era in the best way. Briana leaned into a timeless aesthetic from the very beginning. Her vintage-inspired mantilla veil framed her face so softly, paired with classic Christian Louboutin flats that felt equal parts refined and effortless. Nothing felt overdone. Every detail felt chosen, not styled. It was quiet. Intentional. The kind of morning where you can get ready with your best girls and your Frenchie. Keaton got ready at their apartment building and took classic photos with his groomsmen walking around downtown Clayton.

Ceremony at the Missouri Botanical Gardens

Their ceremony took place in the rose garden at Missouri Botanical Garden—surrounded by spring blooms at their absolute peak. Briana and her bridesmaids carried colorful, painterly bouquets, paired with delicate parasol umbrellas that felt almost cinematic against the garden backdrop. The contrast of soft florals and structured black tuxes created that perfect tension between romance and restraint. It wasn’t extravagant. It was personal. Just their closest people, gathered in a space that already felt sacred, watching two people choose each other.

An Intimate Wedding Reception in the Courtyard

After the ceremony, the day shifted in the best way. They climbed aboard the iconic St. Louis trolley (after some delays lol), and made a stop at one of their favorite local dive bars. With her dress train in hand, the bridesmaids helped Briana into the bar. They had pickle shots with the bridal party, something that was special to their friend group. These are the moments that matter. The in-between ones. The ones that don’t make it onto a shotlist but end up meaning everything to my couples.

Back at Seven Gables Inn, the courtyard transformed into an intimate reception space. String lights overhead, soft conversation at dinner, the kind of atmosphere that invites people to stay a little longer, linger a little closer. It felt less like a production and more like a gathering—one that just happened to be incredibly beautiful. There was no rush or performance, just presence.

Briana and Keaton’s day is a reminder that weddings don’t need to be loud to be unforgettable. It was thoughtful without being overworked. Stylish without trying to be. Rooted in connection, not perfection.

Captured through both editorial and documentary approaches, their images hold that balance—artful and honest. The kind of photographs that won’t just show you what it looked like, but bring you back to what it felt like.
